Paavai Engineering College-National Service Scheme, Sree Jayam Ortho & Multi Speciality Hospital, Mallur, Salem, Vasan Eye Care Hospital, Namakkal, Dr.Mohan’s Diabetes Specialities Centre, Namakkal, I-Tooth Dental Hospital, Namakkal and Rainbow Blood Bank, Karur jointly organized the Medical Camp, Eye Camp, Dental Camp and Blood Donation Camp at the college premises on 04.02.2020. The program started on a divine note with the prayer song. Mr.B.Abiramakannan of III- BE (ECE), Paavai Engineering College, welcomed the gathering. Dr.M.Premkumar, Principal, Paavai Engineering College, presided over the function. Dr.M.Premkumar, in his presidential address, emphasized the students towards voluntary blood donation to comprehend the situation and donating blood include good health and reduce risk of cancer, risk of damage to liver and pancreas. He insisted the students to enhance the voluntary blood donation to save the life of peoples through their blood donations. Dr.Farook, Sree Jayam Ortho & Multi Speciality Hospital, Mallur, Salem told the students about the importance blood donation and the criteria followed by the donors. He also told that the donated blood would be used for saving the life of the injured and the sick people. Free Eye-Checkup Camp was conducted by Vasan Eye Care Hospital, Namakkal. In the eye camp students, staff and drivers totally 450 members were benefited. Free Dental Checkup was conducted by I-Tooth Dental Hospital, Namakkal and 200 students were benefited. Dr.Mohan’s Diabetes Specialities Centre, Namakkal verified the Blood pressure and Sugar. In this camp 125 staff members and drivers were tested for Sugar. The students of Paavai Institutions eagerly participated in this camp and donated blood. Totally 133 students donated their blood. In the Multi-Medical Camp, Prof.Immanuvel, Principal-Incharge, Paavai College Engineering, Medical Team members from Rainbow Blood Bank, Harur, Health Inspectors, Mr.C.Rathnakumar, NSS Programme Officer, Paavai Engineering College and B.V.Maheswaran, NSS Programme Officer, Paavai College of Engineering were present and they encouraged the students to donate blood. Finally, the donors were appreciated with Blood Donation Certificates.
