Paavai Engineering College in association with Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC-PEC) organized “Smart India Hackathon 2023 – Internal Hackathon on 26th and 27th September, 2023 at Cute Hall and Palcement Cell – Group discussion Hall. Mr.Gobinath, Project Associate, Startup TN and Dr.P.Purushothaman, Associate Professor, Artificial Intelligence, Bannari Amman Institute of Technology were the external juries. Dr.D.Banumathy,HoD,CSE, Dr.A.Vivekanandhini, HoD, Agricultural Engineering, Dr.R.Mohana Priya, IIC Convener and Mrs.M.Babylatha, Professor , IT were the internal juries. The juries motivated young minds to come up with new technological and innovative ideas. He also insisted students to come up with their own start-ups to pursue their goals.
Followed with it, 80 batches of student teams from various departments participated in SIH-2023(Internal Hackathon) to present their project details in front of the Jury and panel of experts. The sessions commenced from 10.00a.m. on both the days and the different teams gave their presentation. The sessions were interactive, students exhibited their talents and explained their project ideas under various sub themes and innovation categories. The Jury and panel of experts gave their valuable suggestions for the students to build up their concepts. The vote of thanks was proposed by Mr.Rajesh ASP/IT. Finally, it was very good learning experience.The valuable suggestions helped the students to understand the various social problems on par with industrial standards and themes mentioned in the problem statements of SIH. Around 30 batches out of the 80 batches were shortlisted for the next level.
