The guest lecture on “Influence of communication in marketing strategies” organized by Paavai Speakers Club was held on 08th July, 2023 in Cute Hall, Paavai Engineering College. The guest lecture started with the Prayer by the students. The welcome address was delivered by Ms.M J Safa Faren, Student Co-ordinator of Paavai Speakers Club.
The Chief Guest of the day was Mr.G.Ramasubramanian Chief Listening Officer,TQI,Chennai. In the presidential address Dr.M.Premkumar,Principal Sir addressed the importance communication in this technical world. He insisted that a good leader must be a good speaker and a good communicator by remembering the alumini of Paavai Engineering College Mr.Praveen kumar and Mr.Vignesh who were selected as youth icon by ICT academy in the year 2014 and 2017 respectively. Mr.G.Ramasubramanian Chief Listening Officer,TQI,Chennai shared his experience in public speaking field and the measures to be taken to enhance the quality of speaking.
He threw light on various aspects of how to become an effective public speaker and also discussed the challenges to become a great orator. He presented with examples of eminent personalities from Mahatma Gandhi to Arunachalam Muruganantham. He gave the students many ideas and tips on improving vocabulary and insisted to read more and store more which will improvise the spontaneity of the content while we deliver. Finally students were given to speak in the public about the topic Youth in India.
The staff Co-ordinator Mr.J.Sujithkumar of Paavai Speakers Club announced that 30 students will be selected for the forthcoming ICT youth Icon selection through a Pre selection event. The session ended with the vote of thanks proposed by Deepa Sri from First year CSE, Principal, Professors from Faculty Development Department, Heads of various department, faculty coordinators and around 150 students from the Paavai Speakers club attended the session.
