Paavai Engineering College and Talent Quest for India have organised a guest lecture on the title “The art of career planning: How to set and achieve your professional Goals” on 26.04.2023 from 11.15 am to 1.30 pm. Mr. R. Sudharshan, TQI ULLAS Project Manager was the resource speaker. The function started with the prayer song followed by the welcome address by Yuveka from third-year Biomedical Engineering, Paavai College of Engineering. Dr.M.PremKumar Principal of Paavai Engineering College added his presidential address.
He shared his volunteering experience in his college time as well as his experience as a faculty coordinator. He insisted the volunteers to involve in various activities by quoting “Involve to Evolve”. He motivated and encouraged the volunteers for their activities and the impact they created among the school students. The chief guest introduction was given by P.Aasha from second-year ECE, Paavai Engineering College. The chief guest thanked the management for the continuous support and cooperation, he added that Paavai TQI volunteers are there, whenever required. Their support is enormous in the field.
He declared the results of the various positions in the TQI for the academic year 2023-24. M.J.Safa Faren, third year biomedical was selected as the TQI ULLAS Project manager and T.Dhivakaran, final year ECE was selected as the TQI Mission Samrudhi Project manager. The certificates for the ULLAS volunteers were distributed by the dignitaries for the 5 teams – Pachal Government School team, Nallipalayam North School team, Mallur Model School, Mallur School team and Mullukurichi School team. As a token of memory and social responsibility, the sapling was given to all the final-year TQI volunteers.
The resource speaker addressed the lagging skills in today’s generation and suggested the steps to overcome them. He continued explaining the various job opportunities in private, government and entrepreneurship sectors. In the private sector, he said about the qualities that are expected by recruiters and tips to excel in it. In the Government sector, he described the opportunities available for Engineers. Since it was the final meeting for the final year TQI volunteers, junior volunteers presented a white T-shirt with the writings of their memories and wishes. The session ended with a Vote of thanks by S.S.Samitha, Final year Food Technology, Paavai Engineering College.
