The Department of EEE, Paavai Engineering College has conducted a seminar on Wind Energy 2021 on 19.03.2021 at Kalam Chamber. Dr.M.Premkumar, Principal, presided over the function and insisted the importance of wind energy to the students. He gave awareness about the energy generation using renewable sources. Ms.M.Risheeba, Second year EEE welcomed the gathering. Dr.M.Premkumar, Principal, honoured the chief guest with the memento. Mr.S.Mohanraaj, second Year EEE proposed the vote of thanks.Mr.S.Prabhakaran B.E, Senior Engineer – Siemens Gamesa Renewable Power Private Limited, Chennai was the guest speaker. In his lecture, he explained about the role, needs and importance of wind energy generation and electrical safety. In his presentation, he elaborated how energy is generated by wind, wind power plant structure, methodologies and functioning of individual sections in the wind power plant. He insisted the way of saving electricity for next generation and also pointed out that the technical upgradation plays an important role in energy generation and conservation. He inspired the young electrical engineers with his knowledge on electrical safety and gave an idea about how the safety precautions have to be carried out as an electrical engineer while working in a power plant.
