The Department of EEE organized an online webinar “career Readiness for next generation ” through the Google Meet platform on 23.09.2025, from 2:00p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
The event began with a warm welcome by Ms. M. D. Nancy, a final-year student of the Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department. The distinguished guest speaker was Mr. D. S. Ajaykumar, IQVIA, Senior HR Advisor from Bangalore. He spoke about various methods to find jobs, such as using online job portals like Naukri and Indeed, checking company websites for openings, and leveraging LinkedIn for networking, job postings, and headhunting opportunities.
It also mentioned referrals, where someone within a company recommends you; recruitment drives that bring multiple candidates and employers together; and campus placements offered directly through colleges and universities.
In short, He guided students and job seekers on different approaches they can use to search for and secure employment. He shared advice on researching future job opportunities, matching skills with market demand, and taking mentorships or internships. He also advised against choosing a career based on reasons such as: because friends are doing it, only for the salary, blindly following parents’ advice, or without considering one’s own skills and interests.
The slide titled “Interview Preparation” is divided into two sections: “Before Interview” and “After Interview.” Under “Before Interview,” it lists four points for preparation: research the role and job description (JD), research the company, prepare common questions, and practice mock interviews.
Under “After Interview,” there are two points: start an active job hunt and follow up for feedback. The slide features an illustration of two people sitting across from each other at a table, likely representing an interview scenario.
This one-day online webinar was organized by the Professor and Head of the Department, Dr. G. Balaji, and coordinated by Mr.M.Raja, Mr.G.Deivamani. Ms.N.kaviya, a final-year EEE student, Introduced the chief guest, and Ms.M.Kaviya, also a final-year EEE student, delivered the vote of thanks.
