The Centre for Research, in association with the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, organized a Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “Nuances of Research Proposal Writing” on 3rd November 2025 at Brilliant Hall. The programme was held from 10.30 a.m. to 4.00 p.m.
The event commenced with a welcome address by Dr. C. Arulkumar, Associate Professor, Department of EEE, who emphasized the importance of effective research proposal writing and its significance in securing research grants. The proceedings were smoothly coordinated by Dr. S. Sugnaya, Assistant Professor, Department of EEE.
The chief guest was introduced by Mr. R. Satheeshkumar, Assistant Professor, Department of EEE. The distinguished resource person for the session was Dr. Karthick Balasubramanian, Scientist ‘E’, Biodiversity & Palaeobiology Group, Agarkar Research Institute, Pune. In his insightful session, Dr. Karthick elaborated on the key components of a strong research proposal, strategies for identifying suitable funding agencies, and best practices for drafting impactful project proposals. The session was highly interactive, with faculty members actively participating in discussions and clarifying their queries related to proposal preparation and submission.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mr. R. Satheeshkumar, Assistant Professor, Department of EEE, who expressed gratitude to the resource person, faculty participants, and the organizing committee for making the event a grand success.
