The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Paavai Engineering College (Autonomous), successfully conducted an Alumni Guest Lecture on “Interactive AI” on 10th January 2026. The programme was organized to introduce students to the fundamentals and applications of Interactive Artificial Intelligence and its relevance in modern engineering systems.
The session was delivered by Mr. Balaji, Managing Director, Shree Balaji Electricals, Samalpatti, Krishnagiri, and Mr. Damodharan, Software Analyst, Hexaware Technologies, Chennai. The speakers shared their industry experience and explained how Interactive AI enables effective human–machine interaction using technologies such as machine learning, natural language processing, and intelligent interfaces.
During the lecture, the speakers explained the basic architecture and working principles of Interactive AI systems, along with real-time applications including chatbots, voice assistants, smart automation systems, and AI-based decision-support tools. Special emphasis was given to the role of Interactive AI in electrical engineering applications such as smart grids, intelligent control systems, predictive maintenance, and industrial automation.
The session was made engaging through interactive discussions and real-world examples, which encouraged active student participation and helped students gain a clear understanding of the subject. Students actively interacted with the speakers and clarified their doubts related to AI technologies and their future scope.
The programme concluded with a question-and-answer session, which further enhanced the learning experience. The lecture proved to be informative and technically enriching, creating awareness about emerging AI technologies among the students.
A total of 48 students attended and benefited from the programme. The guest lecture was organized under the leadership of Dr. G. Balaji, Professor and Head of the Department, and coordinated by Mr. T. Nandagopal. The event began with a welcome address by Ms.M.Parameshwari, III Year EEE, and concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Mr. V. Ranjith kumar, III Year EEE.
