The Department of Computer Science and Engineering of Paavai Engineering College, organized an Alumni Guest Lecture on “The Art of Prompt Engineering” on 31st January 2026 through an online platform. The session began with the Welcome Address delivered by Ms. R. Dhivyasri, Final Year, CSE, who warmly greeted the dignitaries and participants. The Presidential Address was delivered by Dr. M. Premkumar, Principal of Paavai Engineering College.
The guest speaker was formally introduced by Ms. R. Harini, Third Year CSE. The Keynote Address was delivered by Ms. S. Nithyananthi, AI Analyst, NUSL, Newcastle, UK. The speaker provided an in-depth explanation of prompt engineering, its principles, techniques, and real-time applications in AI systems. The session was interactive and informative, offering practical insights that enhanced students’ understanding of AI prompt optimization.
The program concluded with a Vote of Thanks proposed by Ms. S. Swathi, Final Year CSE, expressing gratitude to the management, principal, guest speaker, faculty members, and participants for their support and active involvement. The alumni guest lecture was highly beneficial and successfully met its objectives.
The guest lecture proved to be highly informative and inspiring, enhancing students’ understanding of prompt engineering concepts and motivating them to explore emerging applications of artificial intelligence and advanced technologies in the field of computer science.
