The Department of Agricultural Engineering, Paavai Engineering College, organized an innovative event titled “EGGNOVATION” on 10th October 2025 at M. S. Swaminathan Vayalkudam. The event was conducted under the dynamic leadership of Dr. B. Kailashkumar, M.Tech., Ph.D., Head, Department of Agricultural Engineering.
The chief guests for the event were Ms.M. Dhanajothi M.Sc., Head, Department of Nutrition and Dietetics, Pavai Arts and Science College for Women, and Dr. V. Subburam, M.E., Ph.D., Head, Department of Robotics and Automation, Paavai Engineering College. Their gracious presence and inspiring speeches enriched the program and encouraged students to innovate in the fields of nutrition and sustainable agriculture.
The event commenced with a Welcome Address delivered by Mr. P. Yogaraj, IV Year Agricultural Engineering, Department Student Secretary, who extended a warm welcome to the dignitaries, faculty members, and students.
The program focused on the nutritional importance, economic potential, and innovative applications of eggs in food and agriculture. Several activities, including egg-based recipe presentations, nutritional awareness exhibits, model displays, and live demonstrations, were organized to promote creativity, teamwork, and applied learning among students.
The chief guests appreciated the students’ efforts and emphasized the importance of integrating agricultural science, food technology, and nutrition for sustainable development. Dr. B. Kailashkumar highlighted that such events nurture innovative thinking and entrepreneurial spirit among agricultural engineering students.
The event was successfully coordinated by Er. U. Karthickeya, B.E. (Agri.), M.E., PGD A&LD, Assistant Professor cum Farm Superintendent, and Coordinator – Paavai Organic Farming, along with Mr. R. Gopikrishnan, B.E (Agri)TRA / Agri. Their effective coordination and guidance ensured the smooth execution of the event.
The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks proposed by Ms. Balasri. S, Overall Coordinator, Paavai Velaan Mandram, who expressed sincere gratitude to the management, dignitaries, faculty members, and students for their active participation and support.
The “EGGNOVATION” event stood as a successful initiative that combined innovation, nutrition, and agricultural engineering, inspiring students to pursue a healthier and sustainable future through creativity and collaboration.
