The Department of Management Studies at Paavai Engineering College (Autonomous), in association with the Self Help Group (SHG) of the Tamil Nadu State Rural Livelihood Mission, Women Development Project, Namakkal District, organized a two-day event titled “College Bazaar 2025” on October 10 and 11, 2025.
The event was inaugurated by Shri CA N. V. Natarajan, Founder and Chairman of Paavai Institutions, and Smt. Mangai Natarajan, Correspondent of Paavai Institutions, in the presence of dignitaries including Dr. K. K. Ramasamy, Director of Administration, and Dr. N. Swarnalatha, Head of the Department, MBA. The inauguration ceremony took place at Visvesvaraya Hall on 10.10.2025, with the ceremonial lighting of the Kuthuvilakku and ribbon cutting. Following the inauguration, the dignitaries visited all the stalls and purchased items from the bazaar.
The vibrant bazaar featured stalls run by Women Self Help Group members from various blocks of Namakkal District, including Rasipuram, Tiruchengode, Pallipalayam, and Namagiripettai, among others. They showcased and sold a wide variety of products such as clothing, fancy items, Mudakathan soup, cleaning supplies, coconut and jute products, fresh fruits, handcrafted items, ice creams, and various food items.
The event not only encouraged and empowered the SHG participants but also provided MBA students with valuable practical exposure to marketing and pricing strategies, thereby enhancing their management and entrepreneurial skills. The experience motivated students to apply their learning in real-world contexts and inspired them to become future entrepreneurs.
