The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, in association with The Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE), Paavai Engineering College, organized a seminar titled “GATEway to Success – A Comprehensive Seminar for Aspirants” on 04.08.2025. The seminar aimed to empower students and aspirants with the right mindset, skills, and strategies required to achieve academic and professional success through GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering).
The session commenced with a welcome address by Ms. K. Jesika, II Year ECE, followed by the introduction of the resource speaker by Mr. B. G. Madhavan, II Year ECE. The Presidential address was delivered by Dr. K. Selvi, Dean Academics, who emphasized the importance of the GATE examination and the diverse career opportunities it opens up for engineering graduates.
The Keynote address was given by Mr. S. Mani Mohan Trinath, who shared valuable technical insights on competitive examinations, career paths, and practical strategies for success. He also stressed the importance of developing the right attitude and consistent preparation. The seminar featured an introductory session on career opportunities available for Electronics and Communication Engineers through GATE, along with motivational stories of successful aspirants who rose to great heights through perseverance and hard work. The event witnessed active participation from around 180 students, making it a highly interactive and insightful session. Students gained a clear understanding of the roadmap to success through GATE and were inspired to set focused goals for their future.
The seminar concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Ms. G. Rangavi, II Year ECE. The event was convened by Dr. R. Mohana Priya, Head of the Department / ECE, and organized by Mrs. A. Samundeeswari, Associate Professor / ECE, and Mrs. A. Sujitha, Assistant Professor / ECE.
