The Department of B.E. CSE (AI and ML), Paavai Engineering College (Autonomous), organized a Guest Lecture on the topic “Advances in NLP: From Conversational AI to Healthcare Applications” on 29th September 2025.
The program commenced with a warm welcome address delivered by Ms. Sabiksha G, a third-year student from the CSE (AI and ML) department. Dr. P. Srinivasan, Head of the Department of AI and ML, extended his heartfelt felicitations.
The introduction of the Chief Guest was eloquently presented by Mr. Anish Klinton P, a final-year student from CSE (AI and ML), after which the session was handed over to the guest speaker, Dr. Amirtha Preeya V. He began the session by sharing his journey of becoming an Assistant Professor through continuous learning in the ever-evolving teaching fraternity. The session was highly interactive and informative, igniting a spark in students to think beyond conventional boundaries.
The webinar was coordinated by Mr. M. Sundaram, Assistant Professor, CSE (AI and ML), along with Mr. B. Narmadha, CSE (AI and ML). Around 212 participants, including faculty members and students, actively took part in the session.
During his talk, the guest speaker also emphasized the importance of essential skills for engineers and discussed the various career opportunities available in their field. The program concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Ms. S. Dharshini, a second-year student from CSE (AI and ML), who expressed gratitude to all the dignitaries, faculty members, and participants.
