The Department of Information Technology organized a guest lecture on “AI in Action: From Research to Real-World Application” on 2nd September 2025 at TATA Hall.
The presidential address was delivered by Dr. R. R. Krishnamurthy, Director, Centre for Research. Dr. M. Premkumar, Principal, encouraged students to actively participate in various activities and adopt innovative approaches to achieve their goals.
Mr. Vishnu Prasath S. S, a third-year IT student, welcomed the gathering, and Ms. Hemalatha C, a final-year IT student, introduced the speaker of the day.
The guest speaker, Dr. Arul Nambi Damodaran, M.S., Ph.D. (USA), Chief Executive Officer, ED SOLS Innovations Pvt. Ltd., Banaswadi, Bangalore, shared valuable insights on Artificial Intelligence with the students. The highly interactive session covered topics such as Ethics of AI, Edge Computing, Cutting-Edge Technology, NVIDIA, real-time projects, research applications, enhancing soft skills and technical skills, identifying areas of interest, and job-hunting strategies. He also motivated students by demonstrating projects built using Raspberry Pi and encouraged them to develop real-world AI applications.
Nearly 300 participants benefited from this informative session. The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Divya Dharshini S, a third-year IT student, marking the successful conclusion of the guest lecture.
