The Department of Management Studies, Paavai Engineering College (Autonomous), organized a Guest Lecture on 25.11.2025 entitled “Strategic Decision Making for Future Managers” at Cute Hall, Paavai Engineering College, Namakkal.
The event began with a prayer song by the first-year students, followed by the Master of Ceremony, Ms. R. Sivaranjani of first-year MBA, who welcomed the gathering. The Presidential Address was delivered by Dr. M. Premkumar, Principal of Paavai Engineering College, who highlighted the essential qualities required for youth to start a business.
Dr. N. Sarnalatha, Professor and Head, MBA, Paavai Engineering College, addressed the gathering with a motivational speech on the important skills an MBA student must develop to begin a business.
Mr. M. Vembarasan of first-year MBA introduced the guest speaker, Mrs. R. Malarkodi, Associate Professor, M. Kumarasamy College of Engineering, Karur, who then took over the session. The guest speaker explained how to effectively manage and accomplish strategic decision-making and how to handle financial planning for starting a business. She also discussed how social media can be used as a low-cost tool for promoting businesses across the world.
The students were enthusiastic and highly motivated by her insightful presentation. The session concluded with a Q&A segment, during which the speaker clarified the students’ doubts. Finally, Ms. T. Divya Prabha of first-year MBA delivered the Vote of Thanks, expressing gratitude to the guest speaker, faculty members, and participants.
