Induction Programme for the first year MBA and MCA students of Paavai Educational Institutions was held from 28.10.2025 to 30.10.2025 at Brilliant Hall. The Inauguration of the Induction programme was held at Brilliant Hall on 28.10.2025 at 10.00 am. The programme commenced by invoking God’s benevolent blessings with the prayer song which was followed by lighting of the kuthuvilakku. Ms.P.Shalini, I year, MBA, Paavai Engineering College welcomed the gathering. Shri.CA.N.V.Natarajan Chairman, Paavai Educational Institutions delivered the Inaugural Address in which he explained the upward progress of Paavai was possible only because of collaborative hard work of the Paavai family members. Sir added that Paavai was the result of a dream of a young student who through strenuous and persistent efforts established the Paavai Educational Institutions. He also emphasised on the virtues of love, care and concern for our fellow beings. He added that the passion for the knowledge and the pursuit of academic excellence will enable students to emerge victorious in their ongoing academic journey. Sir stressed on how the professionals from MBA and MCA have to contribute productively and add value to our nation’s progress. In his address he focused on learning opportunities for students and ignited in students the passion for learning with enriching academic experiences
After the inauguration, the technical sessions commenced. Chairman sir, Dr. R.R. Krishnamurthy, Director, Centre for Research, Mrs.C.Jayalakshmi, Dean Counseling, Dr,K.Selvi Dean Academics PEC, Dr.M.Premkumar, Principal, PEC, Dr.B.Murali Babu, CoE, Dr.R.Thamariselvan, Dean, Placement and Training, Dr. J.MurshithaBanu, Head, FDD,PEC, Dr.R.Mohanapriya,ASP/ECE,PEC and Mr.Elavarasan Yoga trainer, were the eminent resource speakers for the programme who shed light on important topics such as ,’Goal Setting’, ‘Respect Education’, ‘Paavai Culture’, ‘Leadership – Awaken the Leader Within You’, ‘Autonomous Rules and Regulations’, ‘Life Saving Skills’, ‘Biomimicry’, ‘Examination System, ‘Time Management’, Career Opportunities’, ‘Be Fluent’, ‘Be Liberated ,Be happy’, ‘Innovation and Entrepreneurship’, and ‘Yoga and Meditation’.
Shri.CA.N.V.Natarajan Chairman, Paavai Educational Institutions delivered his speech on the title “Goal Setting”. In his session, he interacted with the students about the need of the Goal Setting Programme. He quoted Abdul Kalam sir’s important messages during his visit to Paavai which entails the following 1. Aim before age 20, 2. Acquire Continuous Knowledge, 3. Hardwork and 4. Perseverance. Sir advised students to abide by the same and make their academic journey fruitful. He defined goals and explained the importance of preparation to accomplish their goals. He correlated his life incident of setting a goal at the age 17 and how he could make that come true through hard and smart work. Sir emphasised the importance of setting a goal and elaborated on the pertinent points for Goal setting. Further he explained what happens when students proceed without setting goals for their future. He expounded on fixing ‘SMART’ goals which will propel students towards success. He elucidated the seven steps for goal setting and also instructed students to create a vision of who they want to be in the next ten years. He listed the six components to sustain victory namely genuine goals, right pathway, constant and continuous efforts, hard and smart work, high discipline and God faith. He also narrated compelling stories of two friends, one of them who had high resources but because of lack of goals faced total failure in the end. The other friend who through his goals and persistent hard work was crowned with glory and success in the end. Finally, Sir concluded by stating that,” set your goal, shape your future and be a winner always”.
Dr.K.Selvi, Dean Academics, delivered her speech on ‘Paavai Culture’. She explained the Paavai Mantra, Principles, Belief and Code. She detailed about classroom behavior and the principles which should be followed in Paavai. She strongly imposed the culture to be followed strictly on and off the college campus. Dr. R.R. Krishnamurthy, Director of the Centre for Research, spoke on the “Inclination towards Research Projects.” Sir’s prime objective was to enable the students to understand that research and innovative projects are the need of the hour in the field of academia. He explained the pertinence of projects and added that projects influence their cognizance which will eventually lead them to research initiatives.
Dr.M.Premkumar, Principal, PEC spoke on the topic “Leadership – Awaken the leader within you”. He said that a true leader walks the extra mile and is ready to shoulder great responsibilities. Sir insisted that every Paavai student should develop strong leadership traits and emerge victoriously. Mrs.C.Jayalakshmi, Dean Counseling, Paavai Institutions delivered her speech on ‘Respect Education’. Madam highlighted the importance of education which is a strong weapon with which one can reform societies. She also elucidated in detail about the significance of education for young college students and their role in the society. She encouraged the students to shed their inhibitions and bring out their latent talents by participating in various events. Dr.J.MurshithaBanu, Head, FDD, elaborated the essence of “Be Fluent”. She acquainted the students with the skills of English language such as Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing. She gave tips to improve one’s Communication skills. In this Session, the students came to know about the importance of English which is a global language and a window to the world.
Dr.B.Muralibabu, COE, PEC spoke on the title “Autonomous Rules and Regulations”. He briefly discussed about the rules and regulations of Paavai and he gave enumerated the rules of the examination system to the students. Dr.R.Mohanapriya, ASP, ECE, PEC, elaborated on the significance of ‘Innovation and Entrepreneurship’. She cited many real time anecdotes and success stories from top entrepreneurs like Ratan Tata, Sundar Pichai, Steve Jobs and inspired students to innovate and excel in their life, She evinced interest in the students through activities and inspired students to speak about their aspirations.
Dr.R.Thamaraiselvan, dean Paavai Educational Institutions delivered his speech on ‘Career Opportunities’. He described how to choose a career with clear knowledge. He described clearly about grooming skills, problem solving skills and communication skills. He insisted the students to speak in English without any hesitation to face interview and group discussion. He also created an awareness regarding the recruitment and the expectation of the companies.
Around seventeen topics were handled for six days. Some of the students recorded their feedback. Totally 239 students benefitted from this programme.
