The Microbytes Innovation Club, under the Department of Mechatronics Engineering at Paavai Engineering College, organized the “Logic Loops” event on 25th September 2025. The event was inaugurated by Dr. D. R. P. Rajarathnam, Head of the Department of Mechatronics Engineering, and witnessed the participation of 86 students from various departments.
“Logic Loops” was an engaging and intellectually stimulating competition designed to test participants across three diverse rounds, each focusing on a unique cognitive skill set. The first round, Word Whirl, served as a preliminary filter, combining the challenge of solving ten creative crossword puzzles with the fun and difficulty of tongue twisters, thereby testing both language skills and quick thinking. The second round, Flawed Genius, shifted the focus to analytical thinking, where participants examined a series of quirky and imaginative inventions presented via slideshow and identified the logical flaws or design issues in each. The final round, The Sequence Code, tested visual reasoning and logical sequencing, requiring participants to arrange a set of images into a meaningful and accurate order based on hidden patterns or narratives.
The top two performers were selected based on their overall performance. The event concluded with Dr. M. Rameshkumar, Professor and Head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (Internet of Things), distributing certificates to the winners and runners-up.
