The Microbytes Innovation Club, under the Department of Mechatronics Engineering at Paavai Engineering College, organized the event “Code the Clue” on 10th February, 2026. The event was inaugurated by Dr. D. R. P. Rajarathnam, Head of the Department of Mechatronics Engineering, and witnessed enthusiastic participation from students of various departments.
The event was an engaging and intellectually stimulating solo competition conducted across three rounds, each designed to test different aspects of logical and analytical thinking. Round 1, a general quiz, saw the participation of 83 students, from which 15 participants progressed to the next round based on their performance. Round 2 involved fill-in-the-blanks questions using clues, jumbled words, and logical hints, further assessing participants’ reasoning and comprehension skills. All 15 shortlisted participants competed in this round, and 5 participants advanced to the final stage. Round 3 challenged the finalists to scan a QR code and accurately identify the corresponding sensor, testing their technical awareness and problem-solving ability. Based on overall performance, two winners were selected.
The event concluded with Dr. K. Sharmiladevi, Professor and Head of the Department of Civil Engineering, distributing certificates to the winners. The competition successfully encouraged independent thinking, logical reasoning, and technical curiosity among the participants.
