The Department of Aeronautical Engineering at Paavai Engineering College (Autonomous), in strategic association with the Institution’s Innovation Council, successfully conducted an MoU Renewal Ceremony and Guest Lecture on January 29, 2026. Held at the CUTE Hall, the event served as a platform to bridge academic theory with industrial application, specifically focusing on the theme of “AI-Driven Aerospace Assembly”. The session commenced at 10:00 AM with a formal Welcome Address by Ms. Devadharshini S., a second-year B.E. Aeronautical Engineering student, who set a professional tone for the proceedings.
The ceremony was presided over by Dr. M. Premkumar, Principal of Paavai Engineering College. In his Presidential Address, he highlighted the institution’s commitment to fostering innovation and maintaining strong industry-academia linkages. A pivotal moment of the event was the renewal of the Memorandum of Understanding, which underscores the department’s ongoing efforts to provide students with enhanced technical exposure and professional networking opportunities within the aerospace sector. The keynote segment featured a comprehensive Chief Guest Address by Mr. Gopinathan Selvam, Founder and CEO of Dileka Innovations Pvt Ltd, Kotagiri. Mr. Selvam shared expert insights into the transformative role of Artificial Intelligence in the aerospace manufacturing landscape, detailing how AI-driven processes are optimizing assembly precision and operational efficiency. The event concluded with a formal Vote of Thanks delivered by Ms. Boomika D., a second-year B.E. Aeronautical Engineering student, who expressed gratitude to the management, organizers, and the guest speaker for a highly informative session.
