The Department of Aeronautical Engineering, Paavai Engineering College (Autonomous), organized a MoU Signing Ceremony and Guest Lecture on the topic “Industry Insights on Careers in Aerospace, Drone Technology and Smart Manufacturing” on Wednesday, 28th January 2026, from 10.00 A.M. to 12.00 P.M., at Cute Hall.
The primary objective of the event was to provide students with industry exposure and to enhance their awareness of emerging career opportunities in Aerospace Engineering, Drone Technology, and Smart Manufacturing. The program also aimed to strengthen industry–academia collaboration through a formal Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
The session commenced with a warm welcome and introduction of the guest speaker by Miss.Boomica.D, a Second Year Aeronautical Engineering student. Following this, the MoU was formally signed between Paavai Engineering College and NOVA Aerospace Pvt. Ltd. / 360 Group of Companies, Chennai, with the objective of promoting industrial training, internships, expert lectures, joint research activities, and skill development programs for students and faculty members.
The guest lecture was delivered by Mr. L. Karthikeyan, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), NOVA Aerospace Pvt. Ltd. and 360 Group of Companies, Chennai. During his address, the speaker shared valuable insights into current industry trends, technological advancements in aerospace and drone systems, and the growing importance of smart manufacturing practices. He emphasized the need for multidisciplinary skills, hands-on experience, and continuous learning to meet industry expectations.
The session was highly interactive, with students actively engaging in discussions and clarifying their queries related to career pathways, industry requirements, startup opportunities, and future technological developments in the aerospace sector.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Prasanya.S, a Second Year Aeronautical Engineering student, expressing sincere gratitude to the guest speaker for his informative session, as well as to the management, faculty members, and participants for their enthusiastic involvement.
The program was coordinated by Mrs. S. Marypriya, Assistant Professor, Department of Aeronautical Engineering, under the guidance of Dr. R. Arravind, Head of the Department, and the patronage of Dr. K.K.Ramasamy, Director Administration,Paavai Institutions.
Overall, the MoU signing ceremony and guest lecture were highly beneficial and successfully enhanced students’ understanding of industry expectations and career prospects in aerospace engineering.
