Paavai Institutions organized a guest lecture on 06.05.2024 at Pragathi Hall. The program began with a prayer song, followed by Tamizhthai Vazthu. S. Sruthika, II IT PEC welcomed the gathering. Shri C.A. Natarajan, Chairman of Paavai Institutions, delivered the presidential address, emphasizing the importance of improving social and spiritual skills for personal development and societal contribution. He highlighted how these skills are crucial for growth and success.
Dr. S. Sarath Chandra Kandekar, Head Department of Microbiology,KSR Institute of Dental Science and Research, Tiruchengode, was the chief guest. He spoke about the scientific theories developed by our ancestors and how the book Srimad Bhagavatham guides human behaviour and life. He stressed that while science provides technological advancements, true wisdom comes from understanding ‘Absolute Science’, which integrates spiritual knowledge and universal truths, such as reincarnation.
Dr. Kandekar also delved into the relationship between ancient wisdom and modern scientific theories, discussing Darwin’s theory of evolution and the Big Bang theory. He explained that Darwin’s theory provides insights into human evolution, illustrating how species adapt and change over time. Similarly, the Big Bang theory offers a scientific explanation for the origin of the universe. Dr. Kandekar emphasized that these theories, when understood alongside spiritual knowledge, can provide a comprehensive view of human existence and the universe.
The guest advised that excessive use of gadgets can distract young people from meaningful pursuits and genuine self-improvement. He encouraged students to balance technology use with activities that foster social connections and spiritual growth. By incorporating these values into their daily lives, students can achieve holistic development and positively contribute to society. S.
