The CII-IWN Campus to Career Programme was organized by Paavai Engineering College on 16.11.2024. The programme commenced in the presence of the Principal of Paavai Engineering College, various Heads of Departments, and the final-year girl students of Paavai Engineering College. The welcome address was delivered by S. Swathi, a third-year student from the CSE department.
The presidential address on goal setting was delivered by Dr. M. Premkumar, Principal of Paavai Engineering College, he emphasized the importance of setting clear and achievable goals as a cornerstone of personal and professional success. He highlighted how well-defined objectives serve as a roadmap, providing direction and motivation. Additionally, he shared practical strategies for effective goal-setting, such as prioritization, time management, and consistent effort. His address inspired the students to aim high and stay focused on their aspirations.
Ms. S.Dilshad Azim, Lead, Campus to Career, IWN Tamil Nadu, Diversity Hub Manager, Bangalore, conducted an engaging session on goal setting. She shared valuable insights by drawing from her own real-life experiences, making the concept relatable and practical for the students. Through her personal examples, she emphasized the significance of setting clear, actionable goals and demonstrated how perseverance and strategic planning can lead to success. Her session inspired attendees to adopt a proactive approach to achieving their aspirations.
She narrated that for women, goal setting is not just a strategy for success; it is a means to unlock their full potential, build confidence, and navigate through life’s challenges with clarity and purpose. By setting clear goals, staying focused, and remaining adaptable, women can create their own pathways to success in all aspects of life.
The guest speaker concluded the session with an engaging and interactive Q&A segment focused on goal setting. During the session, attendees had the opportunity to ask questions and discuss various aspects of setting and achieving personal and professional goals. The vote of thanks was expressed by G. Harini, a third-year student from the CSE department. The session was attended by a total of 320 students and faculty members.
