The CII-IWN Campus to Career Programme was organized by Paavai Engineering College on 25.01.2025. The programme commenced in the presence of the Principal of Paavai Engineering College, various Heads of Departments, and the final-year girl students of Paavai Engineering College. The welcome address was delivered by R.Gopinisha, a third-year student from the CSE department.
Dr. M. Premkumar, Principal of Paavai Engineering College, delivered a compelling presidential address on goal setting, emphasizing the crucial themes of resilience and mental well-being. He highlighted how resilience serves as the cornerstone for overcoming challenges and achieving long-term goals, while mental well-being provides the stability required to navigate life’s complexities. Stressing the importance of setting realistic and achievable objectives, he encouraged individuals to cultivate a growth mindset and adopt healthy coping mechanisms to maintain focus and emotional balance. His address underscored the interplay between personal determination and mental health in fostering success and a fulfilling life.
Ms. S. Dilshad Azim, Lead of Campus to Career at IWN Tamil Nadu and Diversity Hub Manager in Bangalore, conducted an engaging and thought-provoking session on resilience and mental well-being, shedding light on their indispensable role in achieving personal and professional success. She elaborated on how resilience acts as a buffer against stress, enabling individuals to recover quickly from setbacks and maintain a forward-looking perspective. Emphasizing the significance of mental well-being as the foundation of productivity and creativity, she shared actionable strategies for developing emotional intelligence, managing stress, and fostering a supportive environment.
Ms. Dilshad Azim also highlighted the need for cultivating mindfulness, embracing change, and leveraging challenges as opportunities for growth. Her interactive approach and practical insights left participants equipped with the tools to build a more balanced, resilient, and fulfilling life.
The vote of thanks was expressed by K.Nithyashree, a second-year student from the CSE department. The session was attended by a total of 320 students and faculty members.
