The Department of Aeronautical Engineering, Paavai Engineering College, organized an online guest lecture on “Basic Drone Piloting Skills” on 21/03/2025, from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM. The session aimed to provide fundamental knowledge on drone piloting techniques, regulations, and their applications across various sectors.
The guest lecture was delivered by Dr. N. Sureshkumar, Managing Director of Nova Aerospace, Thirumayam, Pudukkottai, Tamil Nadu, and an expert in the field of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The event commenced with a warm welcome and Chief Guest introduction delivered by Ms. V. Dharani Sri, a third-year student of Aeronautical Engineering.
Dr. Sureshkumar discussed the basic skills involved in drone piloting and elaborated on the real-world applications of drones, including aerial photography, surveillance, agriculture, and disaster management. The session also included an interactive Q&A segment, where participants eagerly sought insights into career opportunities and recent advancements in drone technology.
