The Department of Agricultural Engineering at Paavai Engineering College celebrated World Nut Day with a unique gesture of honoring their faculty. Dr. P. Tamilchelvan, Professor of Agricultural Engineering, led the event in the presence of U. Karthickeya, Faculty Coordinator of Paavai Velaan Mandram, along with other department faculty members.
In recognition of their dedication and contributions, each faculty member was presented with 5 kilograms of cucumbers—fresh, locally-grown produce cultivated as part of the department’s own agricultural initiatives. This thoughtful gesture not only expressed gratitude but also aligned with the spirit of World Nut Day by emphasizing the importance of sustainable and locally-sourced produce. The initiative showcased the department’s commitment to practical learning and environmental consciousness.
