The Department of B.E. CSE (Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning) organized a seminar titled “Artificial Intelligence-Based Crop Cultivation to Make India Healthy” on September 18, 2024, at Prestige Hall, Paavai Engineering College. Mrs. Sarnya Suresh, Software Architect at Impelsys India Pvt Ltd, Bangalore, was the guest speaker. P. Anish Klinton, a 3rd-year AI & ML student, welcomed the gathering. During her address, the guest encouraged students to stay updated in the field of AI daily and to enhance their employability skills by mastering contemporary technologies.
The session was presided over by Dr. R. Thamaraiselvan, Head of Placement and Training. Earlier, Dr. P. Srinivasan, Head of the Department, delivered the presidential address, emphasizing the importance of keeping up with technological advancements through social media and self-learning, in addition to regular coursework.
Approximately 150 students and faculty members from the AI & ML, IoT, and Agricultural departments attended and benefited from the seminar’s valuable insights. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by a 2nd-year AIML student.
