The Department of Biotechnology organized an online Guest Lecture on “Advances in Biomaterials: Innovations for Biomedical applications” on 18th February 2025. The event was convened by Dr.C.Nirmala, Head of the Department, Paavai Engineering College and Staff Coordinator Mrs.T.Saranya, AP/BT and Ms.E.Gomathi, TRA/BT. Ms.C.Santhiya Third year of Biotechnology welcomed the gathering. The session was led by Dr.E.Dilipan, Professor-Research, Department of Physiology, Saveetha Dental College and Hospital, Saveetha University, Chennai. Ms.S.Sharmita Second year of Biotechnology provided an introduction about guest speaker. The Speaker E.Dilipan discussed about Biomaterials and innovations in Biomedical application . His presentation highlighted innovative biomaterials for regenerative medicine, offering hope for tissue repair that included interactive discussions and allowed participants to ask questions and engage with the speaker.
Outcome of Event:
Mr.J.Jayasurya Third year of Biotechnology proposed the vote of thanks, concluding the session. The lecture was attended by more than 140 students.
