On August 16, 2024, the Department of CSE (IoT) hosted a workshop titled “IoT Essentials and Design Challenges in Real-time Implementation” at Cute Hall. The workshop aimed to enlighten students on the role of IoT engineers in a rapidly advancing field. D. Krithiga, a third-year CSE (IoT) student, delivered the welcome address, followed by a presidential address by Dr. M. Premkumar, Principal, who emphasized the significance of IoT in global communication and sensing technologies. T. Senthilkumar, also a third-year CSE (IoT) student, introduced the keynote speaker, Mr. M. N. Hari, M.E., Executive Director of SLM InfoTech, Salem.
Mr. Hari covered IoT fundamentals, including device types and sensor technologies. The workshop, attended by 110 students, provided insights into current technologies and project development in IoT. The event concluded with a vote of thanks from P. Shalini, a second-year CSE (IoT) student. The workshop was organized by Dr. M. Rameshkumar, Professor and Head, with Faculty Coordinator Mr. S. Sathish and Student Coordinators C. Jayaraman and M. J. Neaha Shree. Faculty members and students of the CSE (IoT) department actively participated in the event.
