The Department of Cyber Security in association with Digital Defenders Club organized workshop on “Workshop On Intellectual Property Rights (Iprs) And Ip Management For StartUP” on 27.05.2024. The Resource Person was Dr. N. Thillaiarasu Prof & IPR Coordinator, School of Computing and Information Technology, Reva University, Bangalore, Dr. P. Muthusamy Cyber security HoD introduced the Resource person and gave away the welcome address. Mrs.J.Velumani, The faculty Coordinator emphasized that the outcome of learning process must be positive to enhance the skills, gain knowledge and become more efficient. The resource person emphasised that, in today’s competitive business landscape, intellectual property (IP) has become a crucial asset for startups. Protecting and managing intellectual property rights (IPRs) can be the difference between success and failure in the startup ecosystem. He described about different types of intellectual property, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets. IPR Strategies for Startups and about effective strategies for protecting their intellectual property assets, considering their unique business models and goals. IP Management Best Practices: He also elaborated the best practices for managing intellectual property throughout the startup lifecycle, from ideation to commercialization the legal frameworks governing intellectual property rights at both national and international levels. The students interacted about Practical Applications and case studies. The session was interactive and the participants gained knowledge on how to apply IP strategies in their own startup ventures.The valedictory function was conducted on 27.05.2024, evening. On the whole this training was highly informative on Intellectual Property Rights (IPRS) And IP Management. A total of 188 students and 12 faculty members participated in this workshop. The function came to an end with vote of thanks delivered by Mr. Mohamed Ibrahim H ,II Year Cyber security .
