The Department of Cyber Security in association with Digital Defenders Club organized workshop on “Safeguarding Against Digital Threats and Enhancing Digital Wellbeing” on 16.04.2024. The Resource Persons were Mr. M. VAIRAMUTHU Cyber Security Mentor (Naan Mudhalvan – Tamil Nadu) &The Times of India Group, G. M. Anushiya, II year Cyber security introduced the technical trainers.
Dr.P.Muthusamy Head of the Department, Cyber security, Master of Computer Applications motivated the students in improving their talents. The technical trainers described that cyber security workshop delivers significant advantages to both individuals and organizations, emphasizing impactful contact delivery methods.
Finally ,the workshops equip participants with the essential knowledge and skills needed to identify and respond to cyber threats effectively, thereby reducing the vulnerability to attacks such as phishing, malware, and social engineering. Through interactive sessions, participants immerse themselves in real-life scenarios and practical strategies, enhancing their grasp of cyber security best practices. Furthermore, workshops serve as a forum for open dialogue and collaboration, enabling participants to exchange insights and learn from one another’s experiences. Employing diverse contact delivery methods such as hands-on activities, group discussions, and expert presentations ensures active engagement and the ability to apply acquired knowledge in real-world contexts. Moreover, workshops cultivate a culture of cyber security awareness within organizations by fostering a shared sense of responsibility and accountability among employees. Ultimately, investing in cyber security awareness workshops with effective contact delivery methods equips individuals with the expertise needed to safeguard themselves and their organizations against cyber threats.
The valedictory function was conducted on 16.04.2024. On the whole this training was highly informative on malware analysis. A total of 220 students participated in this workshop. The students felt that this session was interactive with hands-on experience.
