The Department of Cyber Security, in association with the Institution Innovation Council (IIC-PEC), EDC, and the Institution of Engineers (India), organized a guest lecture on “Building Scalable Web Apps with React” on March 8, 2025.
The session was led by Mr. Jayasurya Gnanavel, Founder & CEO of Cybernaut EDU-Tech LLP, Chennai. The event commenced with A. Ajamal Thahseen, a third-year Cyber Security student, introducing the guest speaker, followed by a welcome address by K. Kanishka, also from the third-year Cyber Security program.
Dr. K. Selvi, Dean Academics at Paavai Engineering College, delivered the presidential address, highlighting the importance of continuous learning and staying updated with the latest technologies to enhance skills, gain knowledge, and improve efficiency.
Dr. P. Muthusamy, Head of the Department of Cyber Security, along with the guest speaker, emphasized the growing impact of AI-enhanced prototyping and security-first development. They explained how these methodologies are transforming product and software development by accelerating innovation and ensuring resilience against evolving cyber threats.
The guest speaker elaborated on how Artificial Intelligence (AI) is revolutionizing prototyping by automating design, simulating real-world scenarios, and optimizing performance. He discussed how AI-driven tools enable rapid iteration, reducing the time required to move from concept to prototype. Additionally, he highlighted the role of machine learning algorithms in analyzing user behaviors, predicting design flaws, and enhancing usability before full-scale development.
A total of 200 students, along with faculty members from the department, attended the session. The students found the lecture highly interactive and insightful, with practical applications discussed.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by R. Samuel, a third-year Cyber Security student.
