The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, in association with IETE, organized a hands-on training session titled “Design of Analog and Digital Circuits” on 8th October 2024. This training program aimed to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical experience, empowering students to design and develop innovative electronic systems.
The welcome address was delivered by K. Meera, a third-year ECE student, and the introduction of the resource speaker was presented by Mr. R. Madhan, also a third-year ECE student. In his presidential address, Dr. M. Premkumar, Principal, emphasized the importance of hands-on experience in circuit design and its applications in real-world scenarios. Mr. P. Mayilsamy, in his keynote address, shared valuable insights into industry applications of analog and digital circuits, highlighting the latest trends and challenges.
The hands-on training program was attended by 200 second- and third-year ECE students. It provided them with practical experience in designing analog and digital circuits, enhancing their skills in circuit analysis and simulation, digital logic design, microcontroller programming, PCB design, and fabrication. The event successfully equipped students with industry-relevant skills and knowledge, preparing them for careers in electronics, communication, and embedded systems.
The session concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr. R. Ravivarma, a third-year ECE student. V. Arunash and A. Harshankumar of second-year ECE were the student coordinators. Dr. R. Mohana Priya, Associate Professor and Head of ECE, served as the convener. Dr. T. Loganayagi, Professor of ECE, and Mrs. R. Bhuvaneshwari, Assistant Professor of ECE, organized the event.
