The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering organized an online Alumni Guest Lecture Titled “Exploring the Heart of Java: Core Principles and Embracing the Latest Trends” on 08.08.2024. The objective was to enlighten the students regarding the latest Java frameworks and tools that shapes the Java Ecosystem. The welcome address was given by K.Meera, Third year/ECE, followed by Vision and Mission of our Institution and Department given by M.Sivaranjana, Third year/ECE
In the Presidential address, Dr.K.Selvi, Dean Academics highlighted that Java has revolutionized the way we approach the software development. She insisted that Java has become the cornerstone of countless applications and systems that touch our lives every day. Alumni Speaker was introduced by K.Meera from III year/ECE.
Mr.K.Aishwaran started the session by outlining the “Core of Java” by showing various presentation slides as well as some noteworthy coding’s which were simple and easily understandable. The speaker discussed the importance of Java programming which leads to development of many industrial projects and also mentioned that Java continues to be a valuable skill for developers, offering a stable foundation and extensive resources for building high-quality software. Finally, at the end of the session, Alumni Guest Speaker answered various queries asked by the students.
Mr.S.Satheeshkumar, AP/ECE and Mr.R.Logarasu AP(Sr.Grade)/ECE were the faculty coordinators. Dr.R.MohanaPriya, HoD, ECE, faculty members of ECE and around 160 students attended the online Guest Lecture. Student’s feedback indicated that it was very helpful for their upcoming placement drives and it has made them feel free to study Java in an easier way.
