The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering and the Energy Club of Paavai Engineering College organized an online Guest Lecture on “Data Analytics: Exploring Real-Time Energy Scenarios” via the Microsoft Teams platform on March 21, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
The session began with a warm welcome by Ms. K. Shobika, II Year EEE, followed by an introduction of the chief guest by Ms. Thaslema Afrin, II Year EEE.
The guest speaker, Dr. M. Mohamed Iqbal, Professor, Department of EEE, PSG Institute of Technology and Applied Research, Coimbatore, delivered an insightful lecture on the significance of data analytics in real-time energy monitoring. He provided an overview of data analytics, emphasizing its importance in the energy sector. He discussed various methods for collecting, processing, and analyzing energy data, explaining how real-time energy monitoring enhances efficiency, optimization, and sustainability.
The session concluded with an interactive Q&A segment, where students and faculty members actively participated, expressing a keen interest in further research on energy analytics.
This one-day online seminar was organized by Dr. G. Balaji, Professor & Head of the Department, and coordinated by Dr. S. Ramachandran, Mrs. G. Umamaheswari, and Mr. R. Satheeshkumar. Students from II, III, and IV Year EEE actively participated, making the event a great success.
The session concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Ms. P. V. Indumathi, II Year EEE, expressing gratitude to the guest speaker, organizers, faculty members, and participants for their valuable contributions.
