The Department of Information Technology, in collaboration with the Institution’s Innovation Council, the Growing Coders Club (GCC), and the Google Developer Student Clubs (GDSC), jointly organized the “TRACKATHON’2K24” program on April 2nd, 2024. The event took place at the Paavai Soft Innovation Centre. It commenced with a melodious prayer song, creating a harmonious atmosphere for what would be a day filled with innovation and collaboration.
Dr. B. Venkatesan, the Head of the Department of IT, introduced the distinguished Jury panel, while Dr. K. Selvi, the Dean Academics at Paavai Engineering College, presided over the occasion. In her presidential address, she passionately emphasized the significance of the session, encouraging students to actively participate and seize the opportunity to gain valuable experience.
More than 20 student teams from various departments enthusiastically participated in TRACKATHON’2K24, presenting their project details before the esteemed Jury. The session proved to be highly interactive, with students earnestly showcasing their talents and engaging enthusiastically with the audience.
These hackathons serve not only as platforms for students to showcase their abilities but also as demonstrations of their collaborative skills. The invaluable suggestions provided during the event have helped students comprehend social issues on par with industrial standards, enhancing their overall learning experience.
