The department of MCA and Cyber Security, Paavai Engineering College in association with Institutions Innovation Council (IIC) organized a one day workshop on “Thriving in the Corporate Jungle” on 12th April 2024. The resource person for the workshop was Mr.Venkatesh Rajagopal, Associate Manager, DXC Technology India Pvt. Ltd, Bengaluru. The function started with a prayer song invoking God’s blessings. Ms.A.P.Dhavanithi, I-Year MCA, welcomed the gathering. The function was presided over by Dr.M.Premkumar, Principal, Paavai Engineering College.
Dr.M.Premkumar, in his presidential address, insisted the students to enhance their skills along with subject knowledge and to face the corporate world requirements. Introduction of the chief guest was given by Ms.V.Keerthi, I-Year MCA.
The chief guest, Mr.Venkatesh Rajagopal, in his keynote address motivated the student’s roadmap to stepping into the corporate world. He stressed on the importance of the continuous learning, soft skills development and building a strong resume. He gave detailed information about Interview Preparation, Internship and Entry level positions and Embrace Professionalism. He instructed students to step out of their comfort zone and collaborate across departments, cultivating a growth mindset, and building a versatile skill set to face challenges of corporate jungle. Additionally, he underscored the significance of Software Development Methodologies like Agile Software Development, Rapid Application Development and DevOps Development Methodology. Finally, he shared his personal counselling and corporate training experiences to enable students to understand the corporate world.
The session was an interactive one and helped the students to clear their queries by the resource person. The outcome of this one day workshop was that the students looking to flourish in the corporate jungle, they can embrace diverse roles and take the journey in the corporate jungle.
The workshop concluded with the vote of thanks by Mr.M.N.Sabarish, I-year MCA. Heads of various Departments, Professors, and Faculty members actively participated in the progamme and made it a grand success. The students from Department of MCA and Cyber Security department participated with full motivation and got benefitted by this workshop.
