A Guest Lecture on ‘Safety techniques and measures in production units’ was organized by the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Safety and fire Engineering, Robotics & Automation in association with Resource club on 24.04.2024.
This guest lecture imparts basic knowledge on occupational safety. The resource person was Mr.Melan Maxwell B.E.,M.B.A COO-Eurogulf-India He is a person with renowned technical knowledge who is working on industrial problems and strategies and Paavai alumni of 2018 Batch.
In his address, the HoD stressed the importance of seizing the opportunity to update knowledge in manufacturing and production techniques for enhanced efficiency. He urged participants to actively engage in learning to contribute to process improvement in their units.
Mr.Melan Maxwell B.E.,M.B.A COO-Eurogulf-India started his lecture by sharing his learning experiences in Paavai and how he got motivated to do safety related courses in the year 2017. He shared understandings into occupational safety principles and techniques. Additionally, he offered advice on the courses that can be done on Six sigma, Kaizen etc.
The Guest lecture was interesting, informative and interactive. The session was beneficial to the participants which was clear from the enthusiasm they expressed during interactions. The session came to an end with the vote of thanks.
