The Department of Mechanical Engineering, Safety and Fire Engineering, robotics and Automation Engineering and the Resource Club of Paavai Engineering College organized an online Guest Lecture on “Current Trends in Supply Chain Intelligence” via the Microsoft Teams platform on March 22, 2025, from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM.
The session started with a welcome address by Mr.M.Sham Kumar, III Year MECH, followed by a Chief Guest introduction by Mr. M.Vinayak, III Year SFE.
The guest speaker, Mr. Manikandan Gopala Krishnan, Dy. Manager Sourcing, GEP Universal FZE –Jebel Ali-Dubai, an expert in the field of supply chain management and analytics. The session provided valuable insights into how intelligence-driven approaches are transforming supply chain operations, enhancing efficiency, and fostering resilience in an increasingly complex global market. He also highlighted the importance of adopting advanced technologies and innovative strategies to enhance efficiency, transparency, and sustainability.
Finally, session was concluded with a Q&A by the students and faculty members which develop a keen interest in Material requirement for production and manufacturing sector.
This online seminar was organized by Dr. A.P.Sivasubramaniam, Professor & Head of the Department, and coordinated by Dr. V.Senthil Kannan, Mr. J.Sujith Kumar, Mr. T. Sathees and Students from II, III year MECH,SFE and R&A actively participated, making the event a great success.
The session was completed with a vote of thanks delivered by Mr.M.A.Artheeswaran, III Year R&A, expressing gratitude to the guest speaker, organizers, faculty members, and participants for their valuable contributions.
