The Department of Mechatronics Engineering at Paavai Engineering College organized an alumni guest lecture on “My Career, My Story: Insights and Advice from an Alumni Perspective” on March 20, 2025. The session aimed to provide students with first-hand insights into career pathways, industry expectations, and professional growth from an experienced alumnus.
The event commenced with a welcome address by G. Nishanthini (II MCT), followed by an introduction of the guest speaker by P. Leena (II MCT). The guest speaker, Mr. S.B. Thinesh, Senior Trainer at FACE Prep, Coimbatore, then took the stage to share his career journey.
During his talk, Mr. Thinesh highlighted key milestones, challenges, and lessons learned throughout his professional journey. He provided valuable insights into industry trends, job market expectations, and essential skill sets required for career success. The discussion covered networking strategies, professional growth, adapting to career transitions, continuous learning, and upskilling. He also offered practical advice on career advancement, job search strategies, overcoming challenges, and maintaining motivation.
The interactive session engaged around 80 students, who actively participated by asking questions, all of which were effectively addressed by the speaker. The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by M.G. Dhanishkar (II MCT).
The session was successfully coordinated under the guidance of Dr. D.R.P. Rajarathnam, Head of the Department (MCT), and Mr. R. Arunbabu, Assistant Professor (MCT).
