The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering in association with The Institution of Engineers (India) organised an Guest Lecture titled “Pave Your Path to Success-Gate & Competitive Exams” on 14.02.2025. The welcome address was given by Ms.N.Rathika from IV ECE. Dr.M.Premkumar, Principal gave the presidential address. In his address, he appreciated the guest speaker and motivated the students to utilize this opportunity and be interactive during the session. Ms.N.S.Chandalini from IV year ECE introduced the Alumni speaker.
Mr. Thiagarajan Thirunavukkarasu was the guest speaker for the session, where he shared valuable insights on career choices and higher education opportunities. He discussed the differences between government and private sector jobs, highlighting the pros and cons of each. The session also covered the significance of pursuing an MBA, the reasons behind choosing this path, and the career prospects it offers. Additionally, he provided guidance on various competitive exams, including GATE, and elaborated on the numerous opportunities available through it. Special emphasis was given to the benefits that Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) students can gain from qualifying in the GATE exam. The session was highly engaging, with active participation from students. The speaker addressed queries effectively, providing clarity on career planning and future prospects. Around 240 students participated in the guest lecture and the Vote of Thanks was done by Ms.P.Yogashree, IV Year, ECE.
