Alumni Guest lecture titled “Present and future of pharmaceutical marketing” on 28.01.2025 by online mode using Microsoft teams was organized by the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology, Paavai Engineering College, Namakkal.
The main theme of the lecture was to make the students understand the marketing dimension of a pharmaceutical industry. Welcome address along with guest introduction was given by C.Kavipriya, II-year pharma. The Alumni from the batch 2018-2022 Mr.C.Vetrivel, Sales Officer, Sun Pharma Pvt Ltd. was the resource speaker.
Mr.C.Vetrivel emphasized the importance of digital transformation in pharmaceutical marketing . He discussed about the possibilities of digital channels in marketing sectors, such as social media and online advertising. He also explained about the patient engagement platforms creating revolution in the pharmaceutical companies by interacting with healthcare. He elaborated about the organizational structure of a pharmaceutical company, the types of sales marketing, and also various job responsibilities of a sales officer. The alumni kindled the thought of finding their own interested field for a better future and build more connection, start their progress early. The question-and-answer session encourage students to interact more with him and clarify their queries about pharmaceutical companies and other job opportunity. Around 80 students participated in the guest lecture. Queries were asked and it was clarified by the resource speakers.
The session ended with a feedback session and vote of thanks was given by R.Kanaga II-year pharma. The event was organized by Alumni coordinator Ms.S.Ilakya (AP/Pharma) under the supervision of Dr.R. Praveen Cumar, Head Of the Department, Pharmaceutical Technology.
