The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, in association with the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE), organized a Webinar on “Innovation Through Design Thinking: Practical Solutions for Real-World Challenges” on 13.09.2025. The session aimed to impart knowledge about Design Thinking to students.
The welcome address and introduction of the resource speaker were delivered by K. Kaviyasri, IV Year / ECE. The guest speaker was Dr. B. Nivedetha, Assistant Professor (Sr. Gr.), PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore.
Dr. Nivedetha began the session with an introduction to Deep Learning, which was both insightful and inspirational, offering participants a fresh perspective on creative problem-solving. The session was highly engaging and practical, enriched with real-world applications and examples that made the concepts easy to understand and connect with. Her visionary approach and emphasis on collaborative thinking encouraged participants to explore innovative strategies and frameworks for addressing challenges effectively.
The session became even more impactful with the use of pictorial representations related to Deep Learning, which made the concepts clearer and more interesting. Around 150 students participated in the webinar. The interactive nature of the session was evident as students raised several queries, which were thoughtfully addressed by the guest speaker, making the session lively and engaging.
The session concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by E. Sandhiya, IV Year / ECE. The event was organized by Mr. A. Saravanan, AP / ECE, and Mr. S. Satheeshkumar, AP / ECE. Dr. R. Mohanapriya, Associate Professor and Head / ECE, attended the lecture along with other faculty members of the department.
