The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, in association with the Institution’s Innovation Council, Paavai Engineering College, organized a workshop on “Embedded and IoT System Design using Cloud Server” on 22nd April 2025. The objective of the event was to equip students with fundamental concepts and practical skills in Embedded and IoT systems, with a focus on real-world applications and project development.
The welcome address was delivered by G. Madhuvarshini, II Year ECE, and the resource speaker introduction was given by R. Ramya, II Year ECE.
In her presidential address, Dr. K. Selvi, Dean (Academics), emphasized the significance of embedded systems and their integration with IoT architecture using cloud servers in real-world scenarios. In the keynote address, Mr. P. Deepak Kumar shared valuable insights on practical applications of embedded and IoT systems by integrating them with cloud services.
The workshop commenced with an informative session on Introduction to Embedded Systems, where participants gained an understanding of core concepts, IoT technologies, and an overview of cloud servers. Approximately 90 participants attended the workshop. The focus was on building embedded systems and demonstrating sensor integration with microcontrollers. The workshop provided an interactive platform, allowing students to gain hands-on experience in designing and deploying embedded systems.
The session concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by G. Madhuvarshini, II Year ECE. The event was convened by Dr. R. Mohana Priya, HoD/ECE, and organized by Mrs. R. Bhuvaneswari, AP/ECE, and Mrs. A. Sujitha, AP/ECE.
