The Department of CSE (IoT) organized a Workshop on the topic “Entrepreneurship and Innovation as a Career Opportunity” on 26.08.2025. The workshop aimed to motivate students to explore entrepreneurship as a career path and to understand the importance of innovation in today’s competitive world.
The welcome address was delivered by P. Shalini, III Year CSE (IoT). Dr. M. Premkumar, Principal, delivered the Presidential Address, in which he highlighted the growing importance of entrepreneurship in today’s economy. Monika, II Year CSE (IoT), introduced the Chief Guest, Er. V. Sasikumar, Founder, Managing Partner & Technical Head, Mikrosun Technology, Salem.
In his address, the guest speaker shared his insights and experiences, beginning with the thought-provoking quote: “Life is the most difficult exam. Many will fail because they try to copy others.” He emphasized the importance of individuality, creativity, and resilience in entrepreneurship. He also outlined the basic requirements for career success, including a strong academic profile, positive personal attitude, technical knowledge, and active participation in co-curricular activities.
Around 120 participants, including II, III, and IV Year CSE (IoT) students, attended the workshop. The session was highly interactive, with students asking insightful questions that were clearly addressed by the guest speaker. The Vote of Thanks was delivered by Nithya Sri, II Year CSE (IoT).
The event was well-organized under the guidance of Dr. M. Rameshkumar, Professor and Head, Dr. A. Vanitha, Faculty Coordinator, along with student coordinators C. Jayaraman and M. J. Neaha Shree of the CSE (IoT) department.
