The Youth Red Cross of Paavai Engineering College is celebrates “World Youth Red Cross Day” on 08th May 2024 in Visvesvaraya Hall between 09:15 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. The inauguration started with a prayer song. The welcome address was given by K. Udhayavanan from Third year Pharmaceutical. Dr. M. Premkumar, Principal of Paavai Engineering College gave the presidential address and explained the need of service to others, shared his experiences as a volunteer during his college days and being a part of various social services. Special address was given by Dean R&I Dr. I.Rajendran and Mr.P.S.Venkatesh, Principal of Paavai Collage of Engineering. They have insisted the responsibilities of a volunteers.
Mr.S.Sathish, YRC Faculty Coordinator and K.Kabilan, YRC Student Coordinator handled the orientation session for new volunteers. In that they explained the importance of seven principles of YRC and discussed about upcoming events. They also explained YRC service and foundation, motive of YRC throughout the world. The vote of thanks was. Mr. Sathish, YRC Coordinator, faculty members and 250 students participated in the program. The participants gained knowledge about the YRC, its principles, valuing the role, who can join, function. The program ended up with vote of thanks delivered by Nithya Priya from the third year BME.
