An Alumni Guest Lecture on the topic “Scope of UAV Industry” was organized through online by the Department of Aeronautical Engineering on 30/03/2023 from 10.00 AM To 11.00 AM online. Mr.V.Ajith, Associate Engineer-Flight Operations, Asteria Aerospace Ltd, Banglore-560064 was the Guest Speaker. The objective of the event was to familiarize the students with the advances in the unmanned aerial vehicle industry and corresponding career opportunities. The Welcome address and chief guest introduction was delivered by L.Hariharan, student of Final Year Aeronautical Engineering.
In his address Mr.V.Ajith explained about the recent advancements of the UAV sector in India. He pointed out the procedure for applying UAV piloting license and the career options available for students with drone pilot license. He also listed the companies providing internships in the field of UAV. Around 71 participants attended the online alumni guest lecture. Queries were asked and it was clarified by the resource speakers.
The session ended with a vote of thanks by Ms.G.Premiga of Final Year Aeronautical Engineering. The event was convened by Professor & Head, Dr.R.Arravind and Co-ordinated by Assistant Professor Mr.K.Gokulnath.
