The Department of chemistry had organized an online Guest Lecture on” APPLICATION OF NANO MATERIALS IN ENERGY SECTOR “on 20th March 2023 at 06.30p.m.through the Microsoft Teams platform. The Resource person was Dr.M.Raja Assitant Professor(SG), Department of Chemistry, Sona College of Technology, Tamilnadu.The welcome address was given by Anish Klinton from first year AI&ML (CSE) and Prof.N.Vijayanand, ASP /Chemistry introduced the resource person .
The objective of organizing the online guest lecture was to create awareness about wide and vast field of nano science and to help the student in broad outline on nano technology. The outcome of the webinar is that the students apply engineering and chemistry concepts to the nano-scale and non-continuum domain. Nano materials are being developed for applications to a wide range of fields including medicine, drug delivery, electronics, fuel cells, solar cells, food preparation and space exploration. The resources person coverage extends from basic research in chemistry including computational work and simulations, through the development of new devices and technologies for application in a wide range of industrial and energy sectors.
Finally, the vote of thanks was delivered by Dr.N.Dhanabalan ASP/Chemistry. Faculty members and about 225 students were present in the meeting. The feedback received from the students about the webinar was very useful and the applications of nano material in various energy sector.
