The Department of Computer Science and Engineering along with The Department of Cyber Security, the CSI-Student chapter in association with Object Automation, Chennai organized a workshop on the topic “CYBERSECURITY AND THE THREATS OF MOBILE DEVICES” on 03.09.2022 through Online Mode. Dr. M.Premkumar, Principal Paavai Engineering College, gave the presidential address. Roshini.V of third year CSE gave the welcome address. The resource speakers, Dr.T.Sudhakar, Associate professor, VIT-AP University, Amaravathi and Mrs.Deepthi, Junior AI Engineer, Object Automation, Chennai presented the workshop on the topic “CYBERSECURITY AND THE THREATS OF MOBILE DEVICES”.
Mr Sudhakar explained about cybersecurity risks posed by mobile devices. He elaborated on how to protect ourselves from mobile security threats. He illustrated how the mobile devices are subjected to different kinds of attacks and Vulnerability. Mrs.Deepthi detailed about how attackers gain unauthorized access to a Database and how they add malicious code to steal our information. She also illustrated real time SQL injection examples.
The students interacted and gained experience about cyber security attacks and mobile Security. The workshop was interactive and informative.
Dharshini SR of third year Cyber Security proposed the vote of thanks. A total of 250 Students and the faculty members attended this online workshop.
