The Department of Cyber Security and MCA in association with Institution Innovation Council (IIC-PEC) and EDC & the Institution of Engineers (India) organized a Guest lecture on Building Scalable Wb Apps With React on 27.03.2024. Dr. K.Sathya Associate Professor, Department of Database Systems, VIT, Vellore was the resource person. Gopikrishnan of II year Cyber introduced the guest speaker. M.Ponnarasu II year Cyber security gave the welcome address. Dr.M.Premkumar, Principal, Paavai Engineering College gave the presidential address and emphasized that the outcome of learning process must be positive to enhance the skills, gain knowledge and become more efficient when we update latest technologies and its applications. Dr.P.Muthusamy Head of the Department, Cyber security, Master of Computer Applications motivated the students in improving their talents. The guest speaker emphasized that React is one of the libraries and frameworks that is easy to get started with. The entry threshold is low for those who are already experienced with HTML, CSS, and javascript.
React is used for building complex user interfaces. It is an open-source project with an enormous community of developers standing behind it. A lot of the developers write, create, and share their works made with React on resources like GitHub. Therefore, if you are thinking about how to make scalable applications, React is best suited for this. She elaborated about React can be used to build applications for various platforms, including web, mobile (using React Native), and desktop (using libraries like Electron). This platform independence makes it a versatile choice for developers. A total of 80 students along with department faculty members participated in this Guest lecture. The students felt that this session was interactive with practical insights. The function came to an end with vote of thanks. K.Hansika II year, Cyber security delivered the vote of thanks.
