The Department of Electronics Communication Engineering in association with IEI organised a workshop titled “Energy Conservation Techniques for Electronics Engineers” on 15.03.2023. The welcome address was given by Dr.M.Sudha, HoD, ECE. Mr.A.Sivaraman, Assistant Engineer, TANGEDCO, Ulundurpet was the Chief Guest. Mr.N.Mouneeswaran, from second year ECE introduced the resource speaker.
In the presidential address, Principal, Paavai Engineering College stressed the importance of energy conservation for electronics engineers. He also stated that students should come out with their innovative ideas and relate their engineering studies to it. In the keynote address and the presentation, the Chief Guest briefed the importance and role of TANGEDCO/TNEB. He explained the different types of power stations and power distribution. He showcased different videos about the safety precautions in the field. He also explained the various legal and ethical issues that are to be followed by the public. He insisted the students to conserve energy for the future. Queries were posted and it was clarified by the resource speaker. Students gained knowledge about the Energy Conservation Techniques.
The session ended with a Vote of Thanks by Mr.S.Loganathan, Assistant professor, ECE. Around 250 students, faculty members and Mr.Thiyagu from IEI have attended the workshop. Dr.R.Pushpavalli, ASP, ECE, Mr.S.Loganathan, AP, ECE and Mr.S.Satheeshkumar, AP, ECE coordinated the workshop.
